    As KfW IPEX-Bank, we are a leading project and export financier and part of KfW Group. We take responsibility for our employees and promote a good work-life balance through flexible working models. As an internationally operating company, we enable our employees to participate in global projects and help shape a sustainable future.

    Our achievements during 2024

    This year, we implemented trailblazing financing projects, strengthened our sustainability strategy and continued to develop our work culture. Here are some of our main success stories:

    • Awards In 2024, we again demonstrated our quality as an employer and hold the following certificates:

    • Working remotely abroad? Workation! As part of efforts to further enhance our attractiveness as an employer, alongside the option for employees to spend up to 60% of their working time working remotely, we have introduced “workation” – combining “work” and “vacation”. This allows employees to work remotely in 29 EU/EEA countries (including Switzerland), for a certain period of time, for personal reasons – as part of a holiday or visiting friends or family abroad, for example. The new works agreement introduced in 2024 will increase flexibility further still!
    • Promoting young talent – the X-plore trainee programme: We are putting extra effort into developing our young talent, expanding our marketing activities and our engagement with universities. Conversations at various career fairs, guest lectures and workshops prompted us to launch another trainee programme: X-plore is aimed at those graduates who are still deciding what role would suit them best in international project and export finance.
    • A key concern for us: the health of our employees: In 2024, we relaunched our employee mental health survey (“GBU Psyche”). A high level of employee participation meant that in addition to receiving a good deal of positive feedback, we were able to pinpoint a number of critical issues which we could then address directly.
    • Learning 3.0: The internal IPEX Academy programme is aimed at all employees. We see our evolving training catalogue as a breeding ground for ideas and success – both personally and professionally. We further expanded the programme in 2024, partly in order to best meet the needs of our updated organisational structure and the ECB supervision to which we are now subject.
    • Staff development tools – launch of an exchange programme: We define the concept of development as individually as the associated goals and development paths of our employees. Our toolbox includes a wide range of measures, from coaching and mentoring to a scholarship programme that is attracting strong interest. In 2024, we established an exchange programme for managers. This group-wide scheme supports temporary job swaps between two people at the same hierarchical level. The aim is for people to leave their comfort zone and forge new paths together – that is what “moveTalents” is all about.
    • Works council: Successful human resource management is based on close and trusting cooperation between management and the works council in the interest of employees. We work hard to maintain this.

    Breaking new ground together

    Employee events are an integral part of our corporate culture and bring us closer together as a team. Whether sporting challenges, creative workshops or networking events - together we experience unforgettable moments. A special highlight: our own KfW IPEX-Bank sneakers. They stand not only for individuality, but also for the shared journey we undertake as a team. Because success is born in motion - and we walk this path together!
