KfW IPEX-Bank and Helaba finance energy-efficient logistics conveyor technology for EDEKA Nord

View of the Edeka logistics centre

Together with Helaba (Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen), KfW IPEX-Bank is financing the acquisition of new logistics conveyor and picking technology from the manufacturer Witron for EDEKA Nord. The system is the logistical centrepiece of the EDEKA Group's new and currently largest German food distribution centre in Neumünster.

From mid-2025, over 600 stores of EDEKA Regionalgesellschaft Nord will be supplied from here with a good 10,000 items from the dry goods range.

Due to the particularly efficient and energy-saving technology of the new logistics facility, the investment was financed with a promotional loan from the KfW Energy Efficiency Programme for Production Facilities/Processes.
