Recharge line of chargers

In the Nordic region, Recharge provides the largest rapid EV charging network. To drive the expansion of its charging network further, Recharge has taken up EUR 180 million multi-currency facilities. KfW IPEX-Bank contributes EUR 45 million, alongside three other experienced project finance banks, and is thus continuing its long-standing relationship with Infracapital, the owner of Recharge.

Recharge’s role in the transition to a more sustainable electric future is critical, and this financing will enable the company to accelerate the growth of its infrastructure and energy solutions, supporting the rising demand for electric vehicles and contributing to the decarbonization of transportation across the Nordics. Recharge holds long-term partnerships with major companies like IKEA, ESSO, and McDonald's, and their new chargers have ultra-rapid technology that can charge a typical electric vehicle from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes.

“With this financing for our new customer Recharge, we build out our electric vehicle charging infrastructure portfolio und underline our leading position in this growing segment” says Andreas Ufer, Member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank. “This is perfectly in line with our mission to support the transformation in the mobility sector.”
